The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015, with 193 member countries aiming to achieve them over 15 years from 2016 to 2030. Tukasa Industries has been implementing initiatives towards the SDGs since 2020, based on our management philosophy of continuously transforming for the satisfaction of employees, local communities, and customers. We are also working to create a better working environment for our employees through certifications like the “Health and Productivity Management Organization.”
We continue our health management efforts and environmental improvements to make our company a safe and rewarding place for all employees.
We are developing systems to help employees balance work and childcare. We conduct regular interviews to prevent and resolve harassment, promote welfare, and introduce new work styles, creating a comfortable working environment for all employees.
As part of our energy-saving measures, we replaced all lighting in our headquarters factory (September 2019) and Kaizuka factory (May 2020) with LED lighting, reducing power consumption. We will continue to promote LED lighting within our company.
We have a double-cast system to deepen employee collaboration, making work more fulfilling through mutual support.
Tukasa Industries promotes information sharing and integration using iPads, creating a transparent internal system through digitalization and live video streaming.
We have installed AEDs for the community and regularly clean the areas around our factories.
We promote paperless practices, digitalizing documents, and using LIMEX business cards to conserve water resources. We also focus on reducing industrial waste and reusing materials like gloves and cushioning.
We gather eco-caps with the understanding of many supporters and crush them to transform into recycled products such as ballpoint pens and motorcycle fenders. Our goal is to prevent plastic waste, advocating for manufacturers to take responsibility for production and consumers for responsible usage, promoting social responsibility for recycling.
With the cooperation of manufacturers, we encourage technological development for creating recycled products and strive to raise awareness of the Eco-Cap campaign among many people to achieve a sustainable society. Our ultimate aim is to eliminate marine pollution worldwide.
